What we collect ourselves
Nothing that identifies you. The site is a set of pre-built HTML files served by Vercel. It does not ask for your name, email or any account. Copying an install command happens in your browser. When you click Copy or Download, the page sends one anonymous count (which button, which page, and the country reported by our network provider) so we can see which instructions people use. No cookie, IP address or visitor id is stored.
Hosting logs
Vercel, which hosts the site, processes request data needed to serve pages and defend against abuse. Vercel's handling is described in the Vercel privacy policy.
Analytics
No third-party analytics script is loaded. The only measurement is the anonymous Copy and Download count described above.
Advertising
No advertising is currently served, so no advertising cookies are set. When display ads are switched on this section and the advertising disclosure will name the network, explain the cookies it may set, and how to opt out. Ad slots are already reserved in the layout so the page will not change shape when that happens.
Third-party links
Download links go to github.com, and other links go to notepad-plus-plus.org, the Notepad++ user manual, Microsoft's winget repository and competitor vendors. Those sites have their own privacy policies. There are no affiliate links; apart from the anonymous Copy and Download count above, no click is reported to us.
Fonts and assets
All fonts, images and scripts are served from factory-notepad-plus-plus.vercel.app. Nothing is loaded from Google Fonts or other CDNs.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and knowingly collects no data from anyone.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about visitors, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Requests about Vercel's processing should go to Vercel; requests about ad network data should go to that network. Questions about this policy: contact.
Changes
This policy changes only when the site's data practices change. The date at the top is the last revision.
